Atopic dermatitis is a condition in which the immune system is hypersensitive and reacts abnormally (allergic reaction) to various substances in the environment such as pollens, molds or dust mites. These substances are called allergens. Dogs may either inhale the allergens or contact them through the skin. Allergies have been noted in many breeds of dogs and atopic dermatitis seems to be the most prevalent health concern in Westies according to a health survey done by the Westie Foundation of America. Atopy is a lifelong condition and cannot be cured. Its treatment requires a lot of patience and perserverance, but depending on the dog's immune system and the prevalence of allergens to which he/she reacts, it is possible to control the itchiness and make him/her comfortable.

Hi,

I bought 1 jar of your cream DERMACTON® for dogs.

and this is my testimony:

My dog Gipsy is a female toy poodle that is 6 yrs old. She is a dog that is always in inside the house and she also sleeps with us. One day i found that she was way too much itchy and has scars and sores on her body with a heavy smell odor.

I went to the vet and they only prescribed me something for fleas and tells me that she is allergic. They shot her with something for the itch and sent her home. I ask for something to heal the sores and they told me that the flea medicine would help her to heal. I spent $ 155.00

Comments: Well I will try to keep this brief because I have a lot to say.

If the person who first formulated "Dermacton" was standing in front of me now I would kiss them. this has been the course of events over the last 10 years!

Little Sally - cross collie starts chewing her stomach then over a few years moves on to her feet. She chews and chews until she can hardly walk.

Treatment -
1. anal glands emptied every two weeks.
2. baths twice per week in malaseb antifungal shampoo.
3. evening primrose and cod liver oil supplements.
4. Piriton antihistamine 4 PER DAY!
5. allergy test £300 (over $500) result dust mite but this could change to other alergens.
6. dog boots - uncomfortable but at least to stop her causing such damage.
7. last resort - steroids yes they stop the itching but ruin the dogs health and eventualy kill it.

I love my dogs dearly and to see an otherwise very healthy animal crippling her self because of an alergy has been very upsetting not to mention expensive and hard work, its been like having a part time job. I watch her every minute of the day so that I can stop her chewing. Even in the night she sleeps by my bed and I am conditioned to the noise she makes. It has been an absolute torment for every one.

After this it seems inadequate just to say your cream works - it is a miracle. She has not touched her feet since I started using it and is now running around like a puppy.

You can use this email any way you like even leave my email address on, I only wish all vets could be made aware of your product because I know there are many people and dogs out there with the same dilemma and I know they will have to resort to steroids.

It has worked miracles for us...

Our Yorkshire Terrier Murphy has suffered from terribly itchy skin for many years. We have been back and forth to the vets who have been unable to pinpoint the exact problem, but have prescribed all sorts of lotion and potions, all expensive, none of which have worked. Murphy is now 12 years old and his skin had become wet & smelly.

He was so distressed by his condition that he would roll on the carpets and cry. He went very thin & we were considering having him put to sleep.

I read about Dermacton in one of the dog papers & sent off for a pot. We haven't looked back since. He has put on the weight he lost through all the scratching. I was very skeptical of your claims but it has certainly been a miracle cure

My dog has had sore skin round her mouth that was weepy and very sore . The vet said to bathe it every day but it was bleeding and looked very uncomfortable. It had plagued her continually for months and your cream was a last resort.

AbbieCarole is a 9 year old Shih Tzu and has suffered daily with extreme itching, therefore she actually chewed on her body to the point of blood red, bald spots resulting, and absolutely miserable. Dermacton WORKS WONDERS

My Rat Terrier Dodger is very sensitive to chemicals in and around the house and he gets hot spots that he itches like crazy and ends up makes worse through scratching and licking. I was worried about trying the Dermacton at first because he seems so sensitive to everything, but I've got to say that Dermacton WORKS WONDERS! I was so amazed when he stopped itching literally minutes after the first application of the cream. The healing was obvious in a few days and the redness was gone. Your product arrived and I rubbed in a small amount over a few areas that had been peeled off (they had a thin layer of crust on them) and I rubbed it on a few of the thick scabs that were covered by hair. The next day I couldn't believe the results! Right now I am sitting here crying but they are truly tears of joy and happiness in just one day I can see such a huge difference on the areas that I used your product on. On the bare areas no new crust had formed and on the thick scab it not only softened it but it took away the stickiness I was able to get it off without peeling his skin along with it. This is very emotional for me because your product has saved my horses life and I have owned this horse for 23 years with plenty of offers to buy him in the 23 years but because he is a horse with such a big heart I would not sell him for even a million dollars. The Aromaheel was the only thing I have used that literally made the scabs come off easily in about 3 days, and the mud fever has not returned to this area. My horse is very tolererant and you can do just about anything with him, but before the aromaheel, he had had about enough of scab picking, which is why the aromaheel is so nice, the scabs come off pretty easily when you cover them thickly with aromaheel for a few days.
