PetNat Dermacton TIPS FOR USE
|
I
dont want to use steroids on my dogs. Does Dermacton contain
steroids?
No.
Dermacton does not contain steroids of any kind, and only contains
high quality natural ingredients. It is also very skin conditioning,
and doesnt contain any petroleum ingredients.
Which
should I use, the Dermacton Spray or the Dermacton Cream?
Dermacton Spray is best for longer haired dogs, where applying the
cream may be difficult. If you can see patches of skin and redness,
the Dermacton Cream may be used.
Could the cream irritate my dogs sensitive skin?
Dermacton is entirely natural and has been specially developed to
be as hypoallergenic as possible even for dogs with sensitive skin.
Having said this, although unlikely, it is possible rarely for a
dog to be sensitive to even natural ingredients, therefore we do
always recommend performing a patch test prior to use (see
below). Dermacton is for external use only, it is not
for use in or on eyes, inner ears, genitals or any area with mucus
membranes.
How do I apply the cream or spray, and how often?
We advise that the cream or spray is applied up to 3
times a day as required. Ensure that when you apply the cream you
gently rub it in until it is fully absorbed. If you are using the
spray, also gently rub it into the affected areas after spraying
- ideally apply it before your dog is distracted such as: just prior
to a walk, play or feeding. This ensures that the cream or spray
has chance to start working and soothe the irritation and itching,
which in turn will deter your dog from further licking, by helping
to break the itch-lick cycle.
Can the cream or spray be used on broken skin?
Yes, Dermacton is safe to use on sore or broken skin (after patch
testing see below). It will soothe and
promote rapid natural regeneration of healthy skin tissue. If however
your dog has an actual wound, we would recommend using our Ultrasalve
wound product for the fastest healing.
What if my dog tries to lick it off?
The
cream or spray will not harm your dog, however obviously you need
to stop your dog licking as much as possible so that the Dermacton
stays on and does its work. The ingredients in the Dermacton will
naturally deter many dogs from licking, however if your dog is a
persistent licker it is useful to apply the cream or spray prior
to them being distracted such as prior to a walk, play or feeding.
What if it doesnt help my dog?
Dermacton
has been hugely successful in helping many dogs with persistent
skin problems. However we do understand that each dog is individual
and there are a multitude of different skin problems, therefore
we offer a 100% money back guarantee on this product and will refund
in full if you are not delighted with the results.
Can it be used on other animals?
This
product has been developed and tested specifically for use on dogs
only, and therefore we do not recommend that it be used on other
animals.
How to Patch Test
To
ensure that your dog isnt sensitive to the cream or spray;
First choose an area on your dog where there is as little hair as
possible, and where the skin is normal. Apply a small amount of
cream and observe over 24 hours. If there is any sign of reaction
(ie, redness or irritation), avoid using any more of the Dermacton,
and contact us for a full refund. The skin will return to normal
in a couple of days. If after 24 hours there is no sign of any reaction,
repeat the test, over the next 24 hours. After this time it safe
to use on any irritated or sore skin.
EQUINAT
and PetNat products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure
or prevent any disease and are not recommended for any problems
which require veterinary attention, if in any doubt, always consult
your veterinary professional.
